ReplyDeleteAny chance you could have option in preference to 1. no dialog box to confirm when you click the discard button instead close the window 2. when you click save, it should auto save to the path you have chosen in preference and close the window.
ReplyDeleteThe only feature this is missing is copying to the clipboard. Such a pain in the ass to drag and drop my screenshot from the desktop into an email/messenger/word/etc etc. Once a screenshot is taken I should be able to just paste it Cmd+V like the snipping tool does on windows.

+1 please automatic copy to clipboard after capture, it's essential or at least desirable as an option in preferences, eliminating need to "Edit in Preview" and CMD+C :)
ReplyDeleteAlso programmable shortcuts to save time would be a huge benefit.
I understand now the Discard message, since captures are automatically saved this is a way to delete the file there after.
When pressing ESC it closes the preview nicely, perhaps automatic saving could be a preference setting.

Add another +1 for autocopy to the clipboard. Captur is by far the best screenshot utility I've found for OS X, so thank you for keeping it free!

DeleteHi there. Love this tool - simple and just works. However, I think a key feature was lost in the latest update. Prior to 3.2, whenever I did a Captur it would automatically be in the clipboard ready for pasting regardless if I saved it or not. Which is critical for 2 reasons: 1) I don't want a permanent copy of most of my capturs and 2) I don't have to save it and/or open it in another app just to get a copy into my clipboard...

Whichever prefix I try, all files are systematically named CapturFiles_⋯ (under OS X 10.11.6).

Great app, but there is room to make it even better:
ReplyDelete- Focus preview window after taking the screenshot (now it requires to be focused everytime manually - also for closing with Esc)
- Allow copy to clipboard by pressing cmd+c (now it requires to be opened in Preview and copy from there)
I love capturing 2.4 which I've used for close to 5 years. I tried the new version which looks snazzier but deinstalled it when I realised 1) it doesn't copy the screenshot automatically to the clipboard 2) the interim window doesn't disappear automatically. It generates more clics and does fewer things. It would be much better to spruce up 2.4 in my eyes.

Captur is currently broken for 10.15. You cannot "edit" into preview, it does not work anymore. Is there a workaround for this? Such that it automatically opens Preview with the captured image?
